Time has been going by fast, and many changes have been happening at Lazy Labs Bakery. We finished our first summer Fishers Farmers Market, and loved meeting customers and their owners who brought them! We are continuing into
the Fishers Winter Market, which is inside at Holland Park, here in Fishers. We are not as busy, which baking has slowed compared to summer, but it is still keeping us very busy!
Earlier in August, I had planned on teaching part-time and found that with the bakery, and the demands of the job, that it was going to be better for me to fully retire. So, full retirement has felt strange after teaching for 35 years in the public school system. But, we have been greatly blessed by having Lazy Labs Bakery. It is proving to be a wonderful after-retirement job that I fully enjoy and of course getting to meet all our wonderful customers.
We just recently added to our family...his name is Champ, and is a male, yellow Lab. He is about 12 weeks at this time, and is learning how to fit in the rest of the pack, and his surroundings. It took him a couple of nights to get used to his crate, which is his safe spot. Ellie is beginning to play with him, and he seems to be loving the attention from her.
We are excited for Lazy Labs Bakery and the holiday season. Fishers is doing small business Saturday, on November 24th, and we learned that our business, along with a few other local businesses are chosen to be showcased on our local Fox59 this coming Wednesday. We can't wait to see it on television.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving!
